I'll be honest, I've been having a bit of a crisis about my business lately. After deciding to change my life by helping others to change theirs, I've found my business is heading in a strange direction and attracting a lot of clients who are looking to make small changes but aren't always ready to really make a go of it.
The thing is, the reason I got into this game in the first place was because I wanted to help women that have already turned their goals into reality and, having got there, are wondering if what they have is all there is. If all their grandiose dreams only actually added up to juggling the ever growing demands of career, kids, house, finances and God knows what else. Spending all week looking forward to the weekend only to find themselves strapped to their blackberries and drinking themselves into oblivion, so that by the time Monday comes, it's like there's been no weekend at all. I wanted to help women who were seriously ready to move their lives to a whole new level; a new dimension even!
That said, this isn't really about leaving your job, it's about leaving all your limiting beliefs behind. It's about forgetting all the nonsense you've been fed over the years about what's acceptable, what you're capable of, what's deemed a respectable career path, or other people's small minded ideas about how you should live your life. My mission in life is to help women to uncover their true values, what really lies at their hearts. If you're anything like I was, you might be thinking you have no unfulfilled yearning inside, no creativity or incredible untapped skills. But I'm here to tell you you have! If you're feeling like your life's a disappointment, an uphill struggle or a source of frustration, it is precisely because you are not on the right path. And, if you don't know what you truly, honestly want, then how can you possibly choose your path wisely?
So, I've decided to hire an incredible business coach, to help make sure I'm staying on the right path, attracting the right kind of women, and am doing the right things to get my skills and knowledge out to help the greatest number of women possible. Yes, it's a significant investment, certainly the biggest expense my business has borne thus far, but I know the true value of coaching. There's no shame in getting help to be the best that you can possibly be, the outsider perspective is priceless and the journey is all the easier with someone in your corner. And, after all, if I'm not prepared to invest in me and my path, how can I ask you to invest in yours?
