![]() Confession: I was so SICK of marketing my coaching biz constantly on social media, yet getting no coaching clients from it. All I really wanted was to make a difference. A BIG difference. And I wasn't doing that with the low-commitment, $200/session clients I was picking up at networking meetings, who had one or two sessions and then typically chose to go it alone. If I was going to make that BIG impact that had inspired me to leave my corporate career in the first place, then I needed to start working with HIGH-COMMITMENT CLIENTS. That way, I could support them to create serious results and I could begin to charge serious money instead of struggling to pay my bills each month and constantly feeling desperate and inadequate. But how? I’d already invested more than $17,000 working privately with coaches, taking high-end marketing and sales programmes, and downloading every free resource I could get my hands on. I’d posted endlessly on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram, and spent hours liking and commenting on other people’s group posts to try and spark the conversation or Skype call that might, somehow, possibly, one day, lead me to an appropriate opportunity. I’d spent thousands on FB and press advertising, blogged daily, worked with dozens of low-end clients found in networking meetings, and I was, quite frankly, exhausted and at the end of my tether. When it came to a decision between losing my home (in June 2015 I hadn’t made a full mortgage payment in over 6 months) or going back to corporate. Corporate seemed like the only feasible answer. But, sat in my second J.O.B. interview, just 9 days later, I suddenly realised that I would NEVER go back to the hell of working for someone else, when my calling was so strong. And, especially when I had dedicated my life to helping people escape the corporate grind so they could create businesses they love. In that moment, the success of my coaching biz became a MUST for me; an absolute NON-NEGOTIABLE. And honestly, I was just so damn ready to start working high-end, helping people get big results, AND making serious money, instead of desperately grappling for low-end, low-commitment clients who seldom made real transformation. So, all out of options, and with the support of yet another coach - I had to borrow $3000 just to pay her deposit, and with my credit cards maxed out I had to get creative and swallow my pride to get the money - I was finally able to overcome all of my fear of screwing it up (after all, how much worse could things be?) and discover, FINALLY, how to sign high-end clients consistently. And, actually, how very easy it is to sign thousands of dollars’ worth of clients straight from Facebook. So, what does it take? 1) The courage to niche so narrowly that you know EXACTLY what your perfect client is thinking, feeling and doing (even though I thought I had already niched, I had been terrified to get as laser focused as I needed to - in order to easily attract clients - for fear of excluding potential peeps. What I didn’t realise was that, instead, I was inadvertently excluding EVERYONE). 2) The ability to message your perfect clients so powerfully that they know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you understand EXACTLY where they are and you have EXACTLY what they need (mastering this was the BIGGEST GAME CHANGER in my biz and enabled me to reduce my marketing efforts from 6+ frustrating hours a day to less than 2 hours of highly enjoyable activity, even with a community of 2000 women depending on me and live-streaming every day!). 3) A high-visibility strategy that positions you, not as a social butterfly, but as an ABSOLUTE EXPERT (this is how I halved the hours I was working while consistently growing my income) 4) A professional discovery call process that enables you to support your clients to make great decisions and overcome any fearful limitations around money, time, energy, judgement, or anything else they’re struggling with, so they can get the support they SO need to achieve the results they SO desire (mastering discovery calls is what allowed me to stop hearing I can't afford it, and what transformed my conversion rate from 10% to 70%!!!) And, after turning my own business around in just a few months - signing my first $3000 client in less than 8 weeks, and creating my first $10,000 pay DAY just a few of months later, while working half as many hours and with far fewer, but much more committed clients - I made it my mission to help other coaches to shortcut the process, to work waaaaaay SMARTER, to cut out all of the conventional marketing and social media bullshit that everyone seems to be falling for, and to save them wasting thousands of dollars on marketing systems and structures (including websites) that SIMPLY DO NOT WORK to bring in high-end clients quickly, and will frankly NEVER work if you don’t have these first 4 pieces completely nailed.
