Are coaches an easy target for coaches? Well, let’s see…
First off, I know you’re overwhelmed by all the free trainings vying for your attention in your inbox, by all the coaches shouting about their programmes on social media, by all the different methods you COULD use to build your coaching biz. I also know that, because you don’t know WHAT to do, you’re just jumping from free PDF to free video series, from free video series to free challenge, and from free challenge to free webinar. You’re learning, sure, but you’re not implementing. Or not implementing well, at least. Because how could you? You’re learning so much goddamn stuff that you haven’t got a clue where to focus your attention, and you haven’t got the time to wait for something to work. When you do consider investing – which is really hard to do when you’re not earning (oops, there goes that idea that you’re an easy target) – you’re looking at huge programmes by the biggest names in the industry. Programmes where you’ll get lost in groups of hundreds or even thousands of co-coachees, where you’ll get little, or even no, access to the coach you invested with, and where you’ll have no one holding you accountable to take action and get results. I know, because I used to do the EXACT SAME THING! I remember paying a thousand dollars to join a programme only to do nothing with it because the number of trainings, constant chatter of hundreds of voices in the FB group, and the total lack of accountability was completely overwhelming. And I remember trying new tactics out, and literally giving it 3 days (and sometimes just 3 hours), before deciding that it wasn’t working and heading back to the drawing board. Because my business had gotten to the point where I so desperately needed to sign clients that I couldn’t afford to wait for anything or anyone. In hindsight, that was a grave error in judgement, because even the best strategies in the world won’t work until you master the foundations, and that’s what I was always missing. And I know that’s what you’re missing too, because you’re still not signing consistent clients and creating the income you desire. So, whether you’ve reached that point of desperation or not, the best time to master the foundations was a month ago. 6 months ago. A year ago. Or maybe even more! And the SECOND BEST TIME IS NOW! My struggle to break the online world with my coaching business, is what taught me the crucial foundations that are ESSENTIAL if you want to… > turn your social media posts into client magnets > create a high-end coaching programme that your clients will love as much as you do > fill your diary with discovery calls (with READY-TO-INVEST prospects) > sign clients, and make money, by powerfully helping your clients to say yes to themselves, without ever being pushy > create lead magnets that have perfect prospects eagerly handing over their email addresses > build and engage a community of raving fans who can’t wait for the perfect opportunity to work with you > and create sales funnels that make you money while you sleep (I used to think that was such a crock of shit when other coaches said it, until I started waking up to passive sales, EVERY SINGLE MORNING) But none of that was possible until I mastered the foundations. Because, without the foundations, my social media posts magnetised crickets, my programmes didn’t light me or my prospective clients up, my diary was empty, the few discovery calls I did have ended in “No”, my lead magnets attracted a dribble of cold leads, my community was non-existent, and my funnels made me big, fat ZEROs! And, just a year and a half ago – summer 2015 – I started turning all of that around. It took me 8 weeks and 1 day to go from the hell of client-famine to creating my first $3000 client, and just a few weeks longer to create my first 5-figure month (that was in my old niche, too). And since then I’ve never looked back. So, here’s the question I constantly get asked… “Why did you switch niches and start coaching coaches?” 1. Because I saw it as an easy way to make money? Nope! I was making plenty of money in career transitions, thank you very much! 2. Because I thought there were more coaches looking for coaches in the online world, than anything else? Nope! I see coaches in ALL niches creating clients consistently online. And, in fact, the ‘biz coaching for coaches’ niche is one of the most competitive, and therefore the HARDEST to stand out in, so I have to be really fucking good to win in this niche. In fact, maybe a more pertinent question, would be “Why have all of the BIG NAMES decided to turn the focus of THEIR coaching on coaches? Is it because they see you as an easy target?” 3. Because I was hugely passionate about helping other women to succeed in their business, just like I had? BINGO! I started coaching coaches because I’m sick to the back-teeth of seeing coaches, just like you, floundering around with no clients, chasing every bright shiny tactic that’s promised to be the next big thing, working with coaches who don’t have a clue about the foundations required to stand out online, and/or joining huge programmes where they get little-to-no support, and end up totally overwhelmed, not acting, and staying stuck exactly where they are.
