Do you know why most people don’t succeed in business? I do. It’s because they’re more addicted to their excuses than to their success… Now, before you press delete, hear me out. If you’ve avoided creating high visibility in your business, or haven’t done it consistently, it’s probably because you’re more addicted to your fear of not being good enough, than to the success you SAY you want. After all, if you get highly visible, and still don’t succeed, that might prove that you’re not good enough. If you’ve not established yourself as an expert, it’s probably because you’re more addicted to your worries about what people think of you, than to the success you SAY you want. After all, if you try, and people don’t listen, that might prove that you’re just not worthy. If you’ve still not started building a tribe of raving fans who can’t wait to work with your, it’s probably because you’re more addicted to concerns around the time commitment involved, than to the success you SAY you want. After all, if you try to build a community, and no one turns up, that might prove that people don’t like you. If you’re spending two, three or four times as long procrastinating, perfecting, and sweating the small stuff, as you are making offers to your audience, it’s probably because you’re more addicted to your fear of criticism, than to the success you SAY you want. After all, if you put your offers out there, and no one is interested, that might prove that your services just aren’t worth it. If you’re not investing in yourself, with a high-end coach, it’s probably because you’re more addicted to your story about how tough it is to succeed in such a competitive industry, and the previous bad experiences you’ve had, than to the success you SAY you want. After all, if you invest thousands in coaching, and still don’t make bank, you might have to admit that you just weren’t up to the challenge of entrepreneurship. If you’re telling yourself it’s too hard, that you can’t afford to invest, that you’ll never make enough to quit your day job in such a saturated market, or that it’s impossible to stand out on social media, it’s probably because you’re more addicted to having something to blame (other than yourself), than to the success you SAY you want. After all, if you admit that every single thing you want and don’t have is all down to you, you might also have to admit that you haven’t done everything you could have, to create that success that you SAY you want. You see, every step you take as an entrepreneur carries a risk. A risk of not getting the result that you want. A risk of attracting criticism or judgement. A risk of not being liked. BUT… (and it’s a big BUT) - and I say this to you with complete compassion, because I understand fear far better than most - never taking the risks guarantees you a lifetime of excuses. And a sad story around why you never created the success that you SAID you wanted. Jo xx P.S.
